ISPreview has recently found that an exit from net neutrality will make Internet users “angry”.

I am pretty sure fellow broadband watchers will not form an angry mob, however a mass migration should be expected as 91 per cent said that they would not hesitate to switch providers if heavy restrictions started to be applied.

If one was to look on a grand scale of things, providing ISPs started to prioritise internet sites which paid up – this could cause some companies going bust.

Take Skype for example, it’s already operating at a loss, but calling relatives in distant countries is just so easy with this software.

Not to mention it’s free of charge, plus you get to see them on video which can be fun.

To summarise, all of this leads me to question – why should content providers pay up to get traffic?

And are ISPs the right thinktanks to decide whose exposure should be limited and who should be the star content provider of the day?
