With all technology there is a dark side, for instance the only reason we opted for VHS all those years back instead of the clearly superior Betamax, was porn.

It’s a shame to see people still can’t control themselves – it seems no matter what they are given they will twist it to meet their needs.

I think that the law is going to have to step in and place tighter restraints on social media tools.

Cyber bullying through sites such as Facebook is rife, having already created a catalogue of a tabloid horror stories.

But these tend to be of the younger generation and, let’s face it, kids will be kids.

It actually is a serious issue but there is a simple solution to that problem, being more vigilant or, to be brutally honest, better parenting.

But what do you do with adults who technologically misbehave?

This issue has become apparent through the creation of certain apps, clearly aimed at grownups.

Just yesterday the “Gay cure” app hit the headlines, created by the Exodus International, who describes themselves as: “the world’s largest ministry to individuals and families impacted by homosexuality.”

This app was given a 4+ rating from Apple, which means it’s found to contain “no objectionable content.” Excuse me? Who decided that?

But you will be happy to hear that this was been swiftly taken down from the app store, after an impressive 8000 people complained.

This number almost restored my faith in humanity alas this was short lived.
