Customers aren’t the only ones who are comparing broadband services, it seems the companies themselves do the same.
BT has recently said that it was “surprised by the high price” of Virgin Media’s new project that is set to cost almost double the cost of BT’s service… and double the speed.
Doubtlessly competiveness rises when it comes to fibre optic broadband, which includes advantages such as no distant-from-exchange slowdowns as well as fast top speeds. Fibre Optic seems to be the broadband to go for in the near future.
If you are a BT user, you may even be reading this blog through the signal from your Fibre Optic cable, as BT provides the service to approximately 17m homes for £20.
But if you want to go super speed at 100Mb, Virgin Media will provide you the opportunity but at £45 or £35 if you decide on a broadband plus phone line bundle.
However, when comparing prices of other packages and services between the two rivals, at times BT is the costlier option. So are they really surprised by a high price?
Until the day when super speed is the norm – coins will drop.
